Canberra Scent Sport Club provides membership, training, trials for Scent Work and Tracking Dog Sports under the affiliation of Dogs ACT 

The objectives of the club are:

• to promote and encourage scent sports;
• to promote and raise the standards of dogs competing in scent sports
• to promote and encourage the holding and conduct of canine scent sport trials;
• to foster, promote and protect the interests of exhibitors of dogs at scent sport trials;
• to collect, verify and publish information relating to dogs competing at scent sport trials;
• to educate and encourage members, handlers and judges to abide by the requirements and
• standards approved by DOGS ACT for the conduct of scent sport trials:
• to promote good fellowship and sportsmanship amongst members and those participating in or
  attending at scent sport trials;
  
• to inform members of and make known to them the laws and regulations of the State relating to
  the ownership and care of dogs, and the responsibility of owners for the conduct and actions of
  their dogs;
  
• to hold functions and lectures relating to dogs and to the objects of the Association generally;
  
• to make awards and donate prizes for competition at scent sport trials and for the competition by
  owners and handlers of dogs;
• to foster relations with other Associations and bodies having similar aims;
  to promote and assist and to make contributions to canine veterinary research and other worthy
  canine causes;
• to invest the funds of the Association not immediately required in such manner as the Members
  shall determine;
• to carry on such other activities or promote or encourage interest in the upkeep and training of
  scent sport dogs and the general well-being and improvement of all breeds of dogs and to do all
  such other things as may be necessary or conducive to carrying out the objects of the Association
